The Grand Theft Auto trilogy back on PC after disaster launch

The launch of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definite Edition has so far not been a huge success for Rockstar. The PC version in particular has struggled with huge problems, and now it is hailed with negative feedback from fans.

The PC version had to be removed

It has not gone so well for the refurbished GTA trilogy.

Rockstar Games

Problems with the PC version began almost immediately after launch. Many who bought the Grand Theft Auto refurbishment were not allowed to start the game, and those who came in experienced that it was unplayable anyway.

After a short time, Rockstar responded by stopping the sale of the PC version. The developer simultaneously took down the desktop application Rockstar Launcher for maintenance, which in turn resulted in them not being able to play other Rockstar games on PC, including the hugely popular GTA Online.

Finally, the Rockstar Launcher recovered on its feet again, but the remake trilogy was gone for three days so that Rockstar could remove “files that should not have been included” in the PC version. Now the game is over out for sale again, but the fans are not at all happy.

I Social Media many report that they have asked for a refund for the game purchase. Others complain about other flaws in the game, or express dissatisfaction with the visual style of the renovation.

At Metacritic, the situation is even worse for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. At the time of writing, the PC version has been received 2629 user reviews, with an overall score of 0.5 out of 10 possible points. The PlayStation 5 version performs best of all editions, but even here it only lasts 0.9 points.
