The Grand Prix will start in Baku in two weeks

Azerbaijan will host the Grand Prix and Formula One F1 competitions for the seventh time.

Baku has established itself among competition enthusiasts thanks to the combination of the race and the magnificent setting of the city. The combination of record-breaking speeds along the coastline of the Caspian Sea, with tight and winding corners around the historic “fortress section” pose an incredible challenge for drivers.

The races in Baku have already produced many winners in the previous six races in the city. The success of the TV series “Formula 1 Race to Victory” (Netflix) also led to mass public interest in this year’s event. In addition, the new generation cars bring an even more exciting and unpredictable race than usual.

Jimila Televezaida, director of the Israeli branch of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board in Israel, said: “Tourists and Formula 1 fans know that you cannot miss this race, because anything can happen. It is the most unpredictable race of the season, which also makes it the most exciting. Our track has a lot of detours, and on the leading long tracks we’ll see much more action than we’ve ever had.”

For us, as Israelis, the race will be in Kalav, because Baku is only a three-hour flight away from Tel Aviv.
