The Good Lord Bird: Series With Ethan Hawke To Ziggo

Ethan Hawke was on Disney+ this year in Moon Knightbut in 2020 the actor already made a trip to television in the Showtime coming The Good Lord Bird† In the historical drama, he portrays abolitionist John Brown, a proponent of abolishing slavery in America. However, the story is told from the point of view of young Henry Shackleford (Joshua Caleb Johnson), who is part of Brown’s motley crew of soldiers. The series is an adaptation of James McBride’s book of the same name, and Hawke also co-created some of the scripts. He left the pilot to Albert Hughes, who – together with his brother – broke through in the early 1990s with Menace II Society.

The Good Lord Bird appears on May 13 at Ziggo Movies & Series L and XL.
