“The Golden Brothers: Muhammed Anees and Muhammed Anas Meet Again”

Ranchi ∙ Anas and Anees, who grew up playing together in the same house, now have to meet in a national meet! 400m national record holder Muhammad Anas and international long jump star Muhammad Anees are these golden brothers who run on 2 tracks on the same route. Birsa Munda Stadium in Ranchi was the venue for the meeting of the two who were 6 months apart.

Elder Anas who won bronze in 400m in Federation Cup Athletics and Anujan Anis who won silver in long jump celebrated the meeting with medals. Both of them have already brought home more than 30 international medals.

While Anees is training at the National Jump Camp in Bengaluru, Anaes is at the Sprint Camp at LNCP, Thiruvananthapuram. Both have yet to go home this year as they are training hard for the Asian Games and the World Athletics Championships. The two parted hands at the Bengaluru airport yesterday while returning from Ranchi. With a promise to meet again at the senior athletics championships next month.
