The Geneva Book Fair postponed to 2021

The 34th edition is postponed to next spring. But as of this fall, the organizers will launch a fair in town to support the actors of the book in this period of resumption of activity.

The Geneva Book Fair will return to Palexpo from April 28 to May 2, 2021“indicates the organizers of the largest literary event in French-speaking Switzerland. Initially, the fair takes place in the spring but was to be moved to the autumn as of this edition. Finally it will return in the spring of next year.

To support actors in the book chain affected by the health crisis, a city fair will take place from October 28 to November 1, 2020 in various locations in Geneva.

This city fair, already organized last year alongside the Palexpo fair, will invite the public and authors to meet in various cultural and popular places in the Swiss conurbation. “The idea is to celebrate the book and offer original meeting formats in the heart of the city. The city fair is supported by the Fondation pour l’Ecrit and the Canton of Geneva“specify the organizers.

The program is under construction and will be revealed in the coming weeks, it was said to Weekly Books.
