The French newspaper claims that PSG has launched a smear campaign against Mbappé – VG

Kylian Mbappé celebrates his goal against Benfica on Tuesday, but the goal was disallowed.

Paris Saint-Germain is accused of starting a smear campaign against, among others, Kylian Mbappé – with the help of an outside agency. The French club rejects the claims.

This is what investigative reporters do Mediaparty which states this in an article on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly called an outside agency to create fake Twitter accounts to attack players, managers and the media, according to the newspaper.

The agency he deals with, Digital Big Brother, confirms to Mediapart that they have been hired by Paris Saint-Germain.

The club, on the other hand, denies the claims made in the article.

– Paris Saint-Germain completely denies Mediapart’s allegations. The club has never had a contract with any agency to undermine any person or institution, it reads, reproduced by well-known journalist Ben Jacobs on Twitter.

Renowned French online newspaper Mediapart, which focuses on in-depth journalism, unveiled a 50-page survey conducted by Clément Fayol and Yann Philippin on Wednesday. There it emerges that Paris-Saint-Germain should have hired the company Digital Big Brother (DBB) to mobilize an army of fake Twitter accounts that were supposed to slander, among other things, their own star player, Kylian Mbappé.

Mediapart is an independent French online newspaper created in 2008 and recognized for its investigative journalism.

An example that is cited is from March 2019, when rumors of a possible transfer to Real Madrid for Mbappé emerged. The striker had given an interview in which he wanted to stay, despite the club having been eliminated from the Champions League. One account, Paname Squad – which Mediapart claims was controlled by PSG – congratulated the striker on the decision, but also asked the players to “work in silence”.

The account also posted a critical message when Mbappé was named Ligue 1 player of the year, suggesting it may be time for him to take “more responsibility”.

Just over an hour after the Mediapart article was published, PSG once again refused, this time against RMC Sport, for paying an agency to denigrate someone. Additionally, a source close to the club tells RMC Sport:

“Do you really think we hire people to track our players? What are we trolling Jean-Michel Aulas? He is a bunch of complete nonsense. , it depends on them, absolutely nothing to do with the club. We have spent the last year renewing Mbappé with the biggest contract in world sport and involving President Macron, and do you think we have trolled him at the same time? ”.

Also on Monday there was a thunderstorm around Mbappé. It was therefore a question of his intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain. Sporting director Luis Campos on Monday evening he denied that there is a conflict between the club and the champion.
