The news has finally arrived that many owners of PlayStation 5 they were waiting, since Sony Santa Monica Studio has just officially announced that God of War is about to receive thefree update to fully support the next generation console.
The development team has published a short post on its official website to confirm that the update will be available starting from tomorrow, Tuesday 2 February 2021, and will automatically allow its installation to enjoy the best performance. According to what was declared by the software house, the new version of the Kratos adventure will enable the possibility of playing 60 frames per second to one 4K resolution obtained through the Checkerboard Rendering technique and, therefore, not native. Anyone who is not willing to take advantage of this technical enhancement can at any time access the settings menu and select the graphics option to have the same performance as the old version and thus play at 4K and 30fps.
The graphic upgrade will be free for all owners of the PlayStation 4 version of the game both in the physical and digital version: this means that even those who are in possession of the digital copy of the exclusive Sony thanks to the PlayStation Plus Collection PS5 will be able to download the title and its update to enjoy all the benefits listed above.
