The Ford Ranger Platinum is top notch

The top model of the new generation of Ford Ranger is called Platinum, offers leather interior, special exterior details and is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel with 240 hp (177 kW) and a ten-speed automatic transmission. The F-150’s driveline mobilizes up to 600 lb-ft of torque and can tow loads weighing up to 3.5 tons. The Ranger Platinum can be ordered now at a price of 64,605 ​​euros. The vehicle will be available from late spring 2023.

The Ranger Platinum is offered as a crew cab only and features electronically controlled permanent all-wheel drive (e-4WD) as standard. In addition to the unique radiator grille, other features include a satin chrome finish, 20-inch alloy wheels, soft-close tailgate, privacy glass and signature daytime running lights in the adaptive matrix LED headlamps. There is also a roof rail.

The interior features ten-way electrically adjustable heated and cooled leather seats with contrast stitching. Dark maple wood applications and ambient lighting are also part of this. The fully digital cockpit features two twelve-inch screens. The touchscreen of the Ford Sync infotainment system is oriented vertically. A modem is also available, as is a ten-speaker B&O sound system. Also on board are the partially automated parking assistant and a 360-degree split view camera.

At the same time as the Platinum equipment, the entry-level model, the Ford Ranger XL, can now also be ordered as a single cab, single cab, extra cab or crew cab. With its 170 hp (125 kW), 2.0-litre diesel and six-speed gearbox, it is primarily aimed at professional users in the construction or forestry sector as well as rescue services.
