Today, the committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association headed by Amr El-Ganayni held a meeting to discuss the procedures that must be met in the event of a resumption of football activity in the presence of the members of the Five-Year Committee.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of both Dr. Jamal Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah, Dr. Sahar Abdel Haq and Muhammad Fadl, members of the Committee and d. Muhammad Sultan, Chairman of the Medical Committee, Walid Al-Attar, Acting Executive Director and d. Mahmoud Saad, technical director of the Federation.
During the meeting, a number of “scenarios” of the resumption of activity were reviewed in light of the daily changes of the reports of the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization, in addition to the African Football Confederation’s letter inquiring about the possibility of resuming local activity. The meeting also reviewed the experience of a number of countries in this regard, and determining the role to be played It is done by the Federation in this regard.
And Dr. Muhammad Sultan, Chairman of the Medical Committee, during the meeting, presented an assessment of the risks of the return of the activity through an international model applied by the World Health Organization, before deciding on the decision to resume the activity, and presented Dr. Mahmoud Saad, Technical Director of the Federation, a technical study that includes all aspects.
Meanwhile, the member of the quinquennial committee, Muhammad Fadl, presented the return scenario after including a number of medical, administrative, and logistical aspects of play areas, residence hotels, and training pitches.
The Egyptian Football Association decided to submit that study to the relevant authorities to be a guide when making any decision related to the return of football activity.
