The spontaneous idea to organize the “Anchor Festival” came about accidentally, but naturally, after getting acquainted with the leaders of the concert agency “Aira Laiviņa Artists” and the brewery “Ziemeļu Enkurs”.
“The regular visitors of” Ziemeļu Enkura “already know that we organize concerts, story evenings, film evenings and other events. After a break of several months, this is the first” Ziemeļu Enkura “event this summer season, so the goal is to organize something special in” Ankura “yard. City festivals or “mini festivals” are a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon and evening, enjoying music with friends and not spending a lot of time or money traveling outside the city, “says one of the owners of the brewery, aldaris Dāvis Linde.
On July 11, the musical program will include strong and dynamic performances. The festival will feature the legendary punk rock band PND, instrumental rock trio “Doni Tondo”, space music representatives “Galaxy Bosons”, rock chamber orchestra “Sonntags Legion”, probably the most extraordinary Latvian musician Katrīna Gupalo and the culmination of the evening will be “Mysterious Act”, who for one festival visitor, especially for ladies. DJ Toms Grevins will take care of the bubbling energy of the festival.
In addition to various “Street food” stands, there will also be “Enkura” kitchen, as well as “Ziemeļu Enkura” beer, brewed on site. Of course, other drinks from the bar will be available, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
Entrance to the festival territory – Ziemeļu Ankura yard at Matīsa Street 8 from 13:00. Tickets will be available for purchase at the entrance to the Northern Anchor territory, the particularly friendly ticket price (8 euros) also includes one beer.
The brewery pub “Ziemeļu Enkurs” is anchored in the center of Riga, Matīsa Street 8. In February 2018, the brewery opened its doors to visitors. Since then, dozens of different types of beer have been added to the regular circulation, and new beer recipes and varieties are being created.
