The family’s last farewell to Arne Hegerfors at the funeral | Sports

It was on January 29 this year that Arne Hegerfors died after a long illness. The legendary TV profile leaves behind his wife Kerstin and children Björn, Anna and Susanna.

On Tuesday, the family said a final farewell to Arne Hegerfors, when he was taken to his final rest in the Engelbrekt church in Stockholm.

– We are so grateful for all the support we have received and all the nice things that have been said and are being said about Arne. It helps us in the family to move forward in this difficult grief, says wife Kerstin outside the church.

Friends and former television colleagues were also present at the ceremony.

Bosse Hansson’s grief: “Great emptiness”

Program leader Katarina Hultling describes Arne Hegerfors as “a great teacher in the role of program leader”.

– We actually did the first football gala together. Which was incredibly fun. It was always fun with Arne. You never left a day with him without a big laugh.

Anders “Ankan” Parmström was for many years Hegerfors’ partner during ice hockey broadcasts. Parmström last spoke with Hegerfors in connection with the Sports Gala.

– Then he didn’t feel well. I think it’s nice for Arne that he is where he is now, says “Ankan”.

Bosse Hansson, 90, also appeared at the Engelbrekt church.

– I just feel a big, big emptiness, says Hansson.

“Arne and Kerstin have meant an incredible amount to me. It has encouraged me with so much warmth and love during my career,” says Kristin Kaspersen

“It is a day with mixed feelings, we are saying goodbye to Arne and it is heavy. At the same time, there are an infinite number of nice, bright memories,” says Lasse Granqvist, here on the spot with TV commentator Niklas Holmgren
