BRUSSELS (Aftenposten): The visit had an enormous symbolic value. “We have been by Ukraine’s side since day one,” said Emmanuel Macron. But not everyone agreed.

On Thursday night, the EU’s most powerful leaders arrived at the railway station in Kyiv. The night before, they had boarded the night train from somewhere in Poland.

An exclusive group of journalists followed. The leaders did not exactly travel in tourist class, and the German Chancellor noted dryly that the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, had been given a better sleeping compartment than the other leaders, according to Politico.
