The European Parliament will vote tonight on a resolution calling again for the immediate admission of Bulgaria and Romania to Schengen, BNT reported.
The European Commission also came up with a position last month that the two countries should become part of the Schengen area.
The final decision on this must be taken by the EU Member States.
The European Parliament is hearing today the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Janša, who will present the priorities of the Slovenian Presidency.
MEPs from the Greens are expected to hold a protest in front of the parliament in Strasbourg against Jansa, who is accused of trying to put pressure on the media.
