The quotes had as a backdrop the downward correction of copper price which this week reached highs of more than two years, by breaking the barrier of US $ 3 per pound.
Copper is the main reference for the Chilean peso.
But the US currency was recovering around the world. The dollar index, which measures the dollar against a basket of six liquid currencies, is currently experiencing a 0.59% jump.
According to Oanda, this increase comes after rapid market readings from the IMF showed that the United States is outperforming Europe on its indicators.
