The DKI Provincial Government Does Not Know The Corruption Case Reporting Managing Director of Sarana Jaya is an Employee

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria admitted that he did not know that the reporter for the alleged corruption of land acquisition in Munjul, Pondok Ranggon, East Jakarta was an employee of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya alone.

“We don’t know where it started, we ourselves don’t know until today,” said Riza when met at the City Hall of DKI Jakarta, Wednesday (17/3/2021).

Riza said that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must have its own way of uncovering corruption cases.

Both from public reports and from internal reports from parties involved in suspected corruption cases.

So that the position of the DKI Provincial Government, said Riza, fully entrusts the law enforcement process for the alleged corruption in land acquisition to the KPK.

“The KPK has its own way, whether reports from the public, whether from the KPK or from anywhere else, the authority lies with the KPK,” said Riza.

Previously, the Executive Director of Lokataru Foundation Haris Azhar asked the KPK to protect the reporters of the alleged corruption case of land acquisition that dragged the Managing Director of Sarana Jaya Development Yoory C Pinontoang, who is now a suspect.

This is because the reporters were sued by the leadership of Perumda Sarana Jaya to the DKI Jakarta High Court after making a report on alleged corruption in land acquisition in Munjul.

“They should also be protected by the KPK,” said Haris Azhar, Monday (15/3/2021).

He said that the status of the reporter was an employee of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, whose career fate is now unclear.

Haris Azhar also asked the KPK to coordinate with the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office so that the legal proceedings of the complainants who seem fabricated can be canceled.

“The KPK must talk to the DKI High Prosecutor’s Office, that the case must sit together with the KPK, what is its relevance and they (the reporters) should not be disturbed,” said Haris.
