The director of The Witcher 3 left CD Projekt RED after the mobbing case was clarified

CD Projekt RED has lost one of its most experienced developers, which was considered an icon of the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, after months of investigation into mobbing, was found innocent, but nevertheless decided to leave the Polish studio.

Jason Schreier has just presented the surprising news about CD Projekt RED. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and the second director and production manager of Cyberpunk 2077, have decided to leave the studio and were accused of mobbing.

The studio conducted a “long investigation” against an experienced developer and although the appointed committee found him innocent, the creator decided to quit his job at CD Projekt RED. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz explained his decision as follows:

“Still, many people feel fear, stress or discomfort when working with me.”

The creator apologized to former associates for “all the bad blood he caused” and will no longer be developing a production for CD Projekt RED.

Jason Schreier received a brief commentary from the director of The Witcher who emphasized that he is “sad, a bit disappointed and resigned.”

The studio declined to comment, but in an email to employees, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz emphasized that he “intends to continue working on himself”, and according to the developer, changing behavior is a “long and arduous process”, but the creator does not give up and wants to change.
