Studio Gang in Chicago always comes up with interesting designs for their buildings and One Delisle is no exception. The beautiful-looking tower is defined by a strikingly ornate exterior that was inspired by unexpected sources: the German beach chair.
The respective beach chair is Beach chair, which is popular with German beach goers and allows them to protect themselves from the wind and at the same time catch the sun’s rays. The company points out that thanks to the molded exterior, residents protect their balconies from the wind even in cold weather. Something like this is completely in keeping with Studio Gang’s habit of creating unusual design solutions for challenges, such as reducing shadows for the surroundings and more light and perspectives for the residents.
One Delisle is located in the prestigious historic district of Yonge and St. Clair in downtown Toronto and represents the neighborhood’s connection with the city and nature, ”says the company. “The result is an innovative tower design that enables residents to comfortably enjoy nature all year round. Given Toronto’s year-round weather, the building’s architecture shields the outdoor areas from the elements, providing privacy, wind protection, and panoramic city views. “

The Delisle will be 158 meters (518 feet) tall and look almost cylindrical in renderings, but Studio Gang says it will have 16 sides. The interior of the building has 47 floors, most of which take up living space, with a small retail space on the lower floors. Eight luxurious penthouse suites are located on floors 45 to 47.
The interiors are arranged around a central kitchen and include high quality materials and features such as natural stone fireplaces and closed wine glasses. Residential amenities include an infinity pool, fitness center, and spa, plus a kitchen / kitchen, dining room, children’s playroom, and 24-hour concierge.
The project is being developed by Slate Asset Management as part of ongoing work in the area, although we have not yet announced when it is expected to be completed.
