Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, received in his podcast the co-founder of OnePlus to evoke the next OnePlus North. For almost 40 minutes, Marques Brownlee and Carl Pei talked about the next smartphone from OnePlus, talking about the choice of components and design, and the consequences on the sale price. For OnePlus, this was also an opportunity to reveal the back of the design of the next North.
OnePlus North and economic decisions
The podcast-related video is long, but well worth the detour. Carl Pei discusses the cost of different components, such as NFC for example, and the fact that OnePlus has chosen to save money by ignoring IP water resistance in the next North. We discover the design with a trio of rear cameras with rounded corners. As you can see, the North ultimately inherited much of the same design from the Realme X50 5G.
