The Democratic Party nominates Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa so the vice presidential candidate accompanied Prabowo Subianto. Khofifah responded to the proposal.
“Yes, it’s a success (Yes, it’s a success),” said Khofifah when met by journalists at the PT Rosan Makmur Sentosa Sugar Factory, Tanen Village, Rejotangan District, Tulungagung, reported on Saturday (14/10/2023).
For information, General Chairman Domocrat Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) admitted that he did not propose his main cadres to become vice presidential candidates. The Democrats actually nominated Khofifah as Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate.
“Well, Democrats, Democrats, when asked, we said, once again knowing ourselves, knowing our position. The Democrats did not propose their main cadres, but we then said it would be good to think about the name of Mrs. Khofifah, governor of East Java, with a number of factors and considerations,” said AHY some time Then.
AHY admitted that in proposing the name of the vice presidential candidate, his party was not strict, because the proposed name Khofifah was not a fixed price. The Democrats handed over the decision on the name of the vice presidential candidate to Prabowo Subianto.
