Juana Rivas used as an argument to justify her crime is that her ex-husband had been convicted years ago for a crime of mistreatment, in its mildest criminal definition, while in this recent case of Cristina Mariscal the ‘justification’ is that her ex-husband, The one who has been divorced for six years, intends to vaccinate children against covid, to which she opposes.

As is known, Juana Rivas found support and encouragement from the most radical sector feminism, which led her to exponentially aggravate the crime she was committing until I end up in jail. The extreme radicality is, in the same way, what characterizes the anti-vaccines, as before the ‘deniers’ of the covid-19, and that sector seems to be entrusted to the ‘Juana Rivas’ of Seville, although at the moment it has not found an echo among those who defend those positions, especially on the extreme right. It also happens that just as Juana Rivas found the legal support of those who gave her legal advice, Cristina Mariscal has also found the collaboration of a lawyer who, through the interviews she has been granted in different media, has been fully impregnated with the cause. The absurdity is of such magnitude that this woman’s lawyer, Borja Gómez, even affirms in the interviews that your client is not committing a crime because there is “good cause” to take the children, how is it your opposition to the vaccine. As happened with Juana Rivas, what this type of defense achieves, in the end, is that the penalties are aggravated far above the seriousness of the act committed, because each day that passes criminal aggravations are added due to contempt and judicial disobedience.

In fact, the complaint filed by the children’s father when the woman stopped taking them to school was already resolved by a court on December 16, agreeing with the ex-husband, whom granted him custody and urged the mother to comply with the law. The woman’s response was to disappear with her two children, with which she accumulates violations and crimes, from the right of minors to school – she should know better than anyone, because she is a teacher – to that of vaccination, passing through the judicial contempt and kidnapping.
