Humanist Muhammad Ainun Nadjib alias Cak Nun Indonesia assesses Indonesia, currently led by president which is not correct. Thus, it cannot go beyond countries that are considered superpowers, such as America and Russia.
In fact, he believes that Indonesia can surpass those countries. Because, according to him, civilization in Indonesia is a state built on a scale of 18 generations.
He made this statement while giving a lecture ‘Sinau with Cak Nun’ at the At-Taufiq Mosque, at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta on Sunday (11/4) night. When giving the lecture, Cak Nun sat right next to two PDIP elites, Hasto Kristiyanto and Puan Maharani.
“O America, O Russia, O all countries that feel strong and superpower. Don’t think you are really in power because we are a nation with civilization with a time scale of 18 generations,” he said.
“So our knowledge, our management will far exceed all of you. Only now is not the right president. Don’t be angry,” he added.
Cak Nun’s statement then received loud applause from the participants of the talk and was followed by Hasto. Meanwhile, Puan just glanced at Cak Nun.
Cak Nun also emphasized that he did not say that the president was wrong, but that he was not right. Therefore, he asked that no one was angry.
“Don’t be angry. I’m not saying it’s wrong, isn’t it. It’s not right. If there is a Javanese language, it’s true, it’s there pener, Ms. Madam. It’s true but not yet pener“said Cak Nun.
“I’m sorry, I’m not criticizing. I’m curious about the greatness of Indonesia that we can’t make it happen,” he added.
He hopes that in 2024 there will be leaders who bring new awareness. He also wants the new leader to bring back the birth of Indonesia.
“I want tomorrow morning, before and after 2024 we will experience a big revolution from within us. Not a revolution to overthrow the president and rulers,” said Cak Nun.
“The revolution will be led by the president and other elders. They will lead the new consciousness. They will lead the new birth of Indonesia,” he added.
PDI Perjuangan invites Cak Nun to break the fast and recite the Koran together on Sunday (10/4). Cak Nun was also asked to give a lecture at the At-Taufiq Mosque, at the PDIP Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.
Indonesia is currently dogged by debates about extending the presidential term. A wave of student demonstrations was held in various regions simultaneously on April 11 to reject the proposed three-term presidential term.
President Jokowi has confirmed that the election schedule has been set for February 14, 2024. He has also asked his subordinates to stop speculation about Jokowi’s three-term proposal.
