The cumulative suspicion of mysterious acute hepatitis in Indonesia is 57 cases, here are the details

The Indonesian Ministry of Health recorded a total of 57 cumulative cases of suspected mysterious acute hepatitis. Of the 57 cases, 32 of them were ruled out or included in the discarded category, bringing a total of 25 cases of suspected acute hepatitis.

This data was collected by the Indonesian Ministry of Health as of Monday (6/6/2022) at 16:00 WIB. There are 9 probable cases and 16 cases pending classification.

So far, there have been no patients over the age of 16 suspected of being exposed to mysterious acute hepatitis. The Indonesian Ministry of Health still records zero epi linked cases.

The Indonesian Ministry of Health has not further identified the suspected cause of mysterious acute hepatitis in pediatric patients. One of the patients had a history of COVID-19 infection, but traces of the adenovirus which is suspected to be a strong cause of acute hepatitis have not been found.
