The cruise season has lifted anchor – Jewish Traveler and let us go to peace

The sailing season from the port of Haifa began yesterday with the first sailing of the year for ‘Mano Shipping’ on the ship “Crown Iris”. This is the first time since 2019 that we have opened a shipping season even before Passover. A number of ships will continue to sail from the port of Haifa, usually twice a week, until the month of November.

In about a month, we will be joined by MSC and Royal Caribbean, which will regularly depart from the port of Haifa. A total of nine different companies will offer cruises from Haifa this year, and a total of thirty different cruise brands will frequent the Haifa port this year, this figure is also higher than ever before.

A record number of 150 cruises will sail from the port of Haifa this year, and on them will sail both Israelis and tourists from around the world who will arrive on flights to Israel, and at the end of their trips will board in Haifa for cruises. In addition, about 200,000 tourists are expected to arrive in Israel on cruises. Haifa Port expects about 600,000 passengers in 2023. This is a 70% increase compared to 2022, which was an all-time record year.

A full breakdown of the cruise sailings from Haifa Port can be found on the port’s website on the “Cruising Schedule” page.

The CEO of the Port of Haifa, Mandy Salzman:, says “We are excited to see the Crown Iris of Mano Shipping starting a new season, and I congratulate Moshe Mano who manages to provide unforgettable experiences to tens of thousands of Israelis every year. The Port of Haifa is committed to continuing to develop the field of cruises both as part of the strategic plan of the purchasers of the port, the Adani-Gadot Group, to develop the Port of Haifa, and for the sake of the city of Haifa and for the sake of Israel’s economy.
