The creators of Greedfall have announced a massive success and release of the expansion. Reedus

Greedfall, an open-world RPG that claims to be the successor to “old BioWare”, is getting a major new expansion. This is made possible thanks to the successful launch reported by the publishers, with over a million copies sold to date and will launch on next-gen consoles.

Greedfall didn’t revolutionize the genre when it launched last September, but that hasn’t deterred fans of old-style RPGs. The release of the game came at a rather fertile time, when the market experienced a certain shortage of plot-oriented computer projects.

Despite the existence of big players like Larian, Obsidian and CD Projekt RED, gamers are nostalgic for the RPG silver age when there were more offers. Let’s not be cunning: BioWare had its own, special style, which Greedfall took over.

It is not yet clear what the “new content” that the creators promised to release means – it can take any form, from narrative add-ons and quests to new collectibles or high-resolution textures. We’ll presumably learn more about these plans as we get closer to launching Greedfall on new consoles.

Following the success of Greedfall, with over a million copies sold in a year, and with fan enthusiasm, Nacon and Focus Home Interactive are pleased to announce a new partnership to develop new content and release the game to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S / X , stated publishers.

It’s worth noting that Greedfall currently has a 60% discount due to the Steam Fall Sale, so if you’ve already played all the RPGs and are bored, the project may well satisfy you. Despite the abundance of flaws, the game is still imbued with love and enthusiasm – a combination that was once characteristic of the young Obsidian Ent.

Developer Spiders is currently not satisfied with what has already been achieved and is working on Steelrising, a game that reimagines the French Revolution as a war of robots.
