The Kyiv Court of Appeal changed the verdict to a serviceman of the Russian Federation Vadim Shishimarin, who killed a civilian in the Sumy region.

Today, the panel of judges of the Judicial Chamber for the Consideration of Criminal Cases considered an appeal filed by the defense against the verdict of the Solomensky District Court of Kyiv, by which Shishimarin was found guilty of violating Part 2 of Art. 438 “Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder” and sentenced to life imprisonment.
The court upheld the appeal in part. The verdict of the Solomensky District Court of the city of Kyiv dated May 23, 2022 was changed, sentencing him to 15 years in prison.
