The Government of France has confirmed this Thursday about 2,700 cases of coronavirus during the last day, the highest number since May, amid a marked upward trend in recent weeks.
The French Ministry of Health has detailed in a statement that during the last 24 hours there have been 2,669 cases and 17 deaths, which places the totals at 209,365 and 30,388, respectively, since the start of the pandemic.
Likewise, it has pointed out that during this period of time another 30 outbreaks have been confirmed in the country, which brings to 331 those that are active at this time, while the number of hospitalized at this time is 4,864, about 200 more than the day before.
The Ministry has stated that this rise in income is also reflected in the number of patients in intensive care units, where there are currently 374 people, 25 more than during the day on Wednesday.
“The indicators for monitoring the epidemic in the national territory continue to deteriorate. The number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 increases regularly, as is the number of hospital admissions,” he warned in his statement.
