After the closures of Biarritz beaches announced yesterday, the prefecture of Pyrénées-Atlantiques issued a yellow alert bulletin for submersion waves, this Friday August 21 of 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.. A decision motivated by the meteorological conditions: a long westerly swell which is amplifying on the Aquitaine coast and an episode of high tides (coefficient 103 Friday morning, 104 in the evening). As a result, access to certain beaches ofAnglet (Basque Country), as the small room of love and bar, has been prohibited during this time slot.

An exceptional context for the season
As a reminder, “Kyle”, a tropical storm that had formed on the east coast of the United States, was picked up in the ocean current to reach the British Isles earlier this week. In fact, the French Atlantic coast has seen a solid return of swells in recent days. Meteorological parameters which have forced certain coastal municipalities to take safety measures. Evacuation on the beaches of the Club and the Barre
Since this morning, seaside inhabitants, boaters, bathers and walkers are warned by the English city, which was expressed in an official press release. This morning, the lifeguards of the Club and La Barre beaches were also forced to evacuate the swimming area to avoid any incident.
