The clarification of the club in which some of those accused of killing Báez Sosa played

After the commotion generated by the statements of the founder of the Arsenal de Zárate Yacht Club (CNAZ)where some of the eight rugby players accused of murdering Fernando Báez Sosa played, in which he defended the accused, the institution came out to detach itself from the sayings and affirmed that they are no longer part of the community.

“Unfortunately there are fights, there were and they will continue to be. It was an accident. To say that these guys form a group that went to kill is a total farce,” said the founder of the group two days ago. CNAZBernardo Ditges, in dialogue with radio with you.

His sayings generated widespread repudiation. and this led to a statement issued this afternoon by the CNAZ Board of Directors.

“As an Institution we are totally oblivious to the events that occurred in the city of Villa Gesell”, says the first paragraph and adds: “That it is not true that the 10 accused were members and practiced a sport in the club, only three of those mentioned were members and to date none are. (They left due to personal decisions of the associates)”.

From the CNAZ they added: “The club as a good institution makes it known that nothing that some people mention, be it in the media or on social networksThey have no relationship or the endorsement of the CNAZ”.

“We make it known, as we did from the beginning of all this, that the only one authorized to answer or clarify questions about our Institution is our attorney, Dr. Marcelo Urra”, they added in the document entitled “Unique Communiqué” and remarked: ” Our Institution rejects, repudiates, emphatically and definitively condemns all acts of violence”.

Only in the final paragraph do they address the Báez Sosa family and close: “Finally, we would like to express our condolences, the most sincere and respectful greetings to both Fernando’s familyas well as all the other families and people who are going through one of the most difficult moments of their lives.”

Bernardo Ditges had assured: “They did not go out to attack, they are not dogs. They peeled. There are people who fight more and others who fight less. They are not people who came out to attack”.

In addition, the club’s referent, who assured that he played rugby with some of the defendants and that he is a friend of their families, pointed out to who were witnesses to the crime and did not intervene.
