The mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, has closed a collaboration agreement with the Food Bank that aims to support the program of training and educational activities in order to promote solidarity volunteering in this city and the solidarity entity itself.
Bellido highlights in a statement that the Medina Azahara Food Bank association develops “a vitally important task of local solidarity in crisis contexts such as the one we are experiencing today.”
The Córdoba City Council, as the mayor points out, understands that “given the increase in volunteering due to a greater demand for help caused by the COVID-19 crisis, the support, through an agreement, for the training of people is especially important volunteers from Banco de Alimentos, as part of their Education for Solidarity process “.
According to the agreement of the agreement, signed on Tuesday, Banco de Alimentos will collaborate with the delegation of Cooperation and Solidarity in the development of a global policy of Cooperation and Solidarity, especially through the Municipal Plan for Peace and Solidarity, in accordance with its line of solidarity volunteer training stipulated in Education for Development at the local level.
