The City Council of Vigo will contribute 20,000 euros to pay for the taxi voucher
The governing board of the Concello de Vigo will address the approval of the taxi voucher tomorrow Friday, a measure that will have an allocation of 20,000 euros.
The beneficiaries, approximately one hundred, will receive aid of between 100 and 300 euros to make different trips that allow them to move around the city.
This was announced this morning by the mayor, Abel Caballero, who has also announced that the governing board will also discuss the approval of the Plaza de la Estación project.
“With a budget of 2 million euros, we will award it at the beginning of December and the work, which will last six months, will begin in January.”
The project consists of two phases, a first “of a lower rank” on Baixada á Estación street, and a second that contemplate the fitting out of the square itself with street furniture “to leave it ready for the subsequent approval and start-up of the elevator that it will go from the Plaza de la Estación to Vía Norte ».
“It is the pedestrian access to the station and we want to leave it with the old façade occupying the wall, thus giving it an air of historical recovery.”
