The City Council allocates 60,000 euros to improve the electrical installation of the San Francisco Market

The mayor, Julio Millán, has visited the works that the City Council is already executing for the adaptation and improvement of the market’s electrical system. The works for the renovation of the meter room have an execution period of six weeks. In parallel, the Endesa company will undertake improvement work on the transformation center, bringing the total planned investment to 100,000 euros.

In this regard, the Councilor for Economic Promotion and Markets, María Cantos, has indicated that this “precarious situation that has lasted for almost four years”, carried over from the previous municipal mandate, in which the financial formula that would allow this work “more than necessary”, causes a clear damage to the industrialists of the square.

In fact, as he regretted, the consequences have gone further, since he has ensured that, since the municipal facilities do not have an electrical installation in perfect condition, it has not been possible to open the bidding process for stalls in the San Francisco Market throughout this period.

For his part, the Councilor for Contracting, Control of Public Services and Municipal Projects, Francisco Lechuga, has considered that, thanks to these two interventions, “an end to a precarious facility that had to be terminated will be put to an end, given the importance of its arrangement for the basic services of the market “.
