The Citizens Outstanding in Round 1

Manchester City reap the victory when entertained Wolverhampton Wanderers of Premier League. The Citizens were called extraordinary in round 1.

When competing at Molineux Stadium, Tuesday (9/22/2020) in the morning WIB, City picked up a 3-1 victory over Wolves. Three City goals were recorded by three different people.

Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden scored for City in the first half. Another goal was recorded in the name of Gabriel Jesus who was recorded during injury time, the highlight of this match can be watched on Mola TV via this link.

Pundit Skysport, Jamie Carragher, lauds performance City in the first half. He was worried that Pep Guardiola’s team would have a slow start like some Premier League teams.

One example is Manchester United who were overthrown by Crystal Palace in their first match in the Premier League this season. The Red Devils lost 1-3 at Old Trafford at the weekend.

“I think City will lose tonight due to the fact that this is their first game,” said Carragher Sky Sports.

“Untied was sluggish in the first game, Liverpool and Spurs were the same. But, the way they went to the field with energy in the first half was a strong statement, but I think City were extraordinary in the first half.”

“How they went through the match at 2-1, 78 minutes passed you thought there would be some chances for Wolves, but they only fired one shot,” said the former Liverpool defender again.

With this victory, City can avenge the defeat of Wolves last season. At the same stadium on December 29 last year, City fell 2-3 to Wolves.
