The chip crisis continues. The Switch OLED console will be missing next year as well

Although some domestic sellers promise that the next batches of consoles will arrive at the turn of January and February, they do not specify how many people are still waiting for undelivered orders.

In addition, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said the future was not too rosy and that the consoles would still be meager due to a lack of chips. “It depends on the demand… But as we feared, we will not be able to produce as many consoles as we would like,” Furukawa told the Japanese daily Kyoto Shimbun.

The OLED switch is hopelessly sold out

The original Switch was sold in the Czech Republic in March 2017, and in September 2019, the lightweight Switch Lite, designed primarily for playing on the road, was shown. This Christmas, Nintendo launched the improved Switch OLED, but both original models remained on sale.

Potential bidders will pay CZK 7,890 for Switch OLED. The manufacturer therefore set the price of the novelty to exactly the same amount as in the case of the original switch. Thanks to the arrival of a novelty with the word OLED in the title, it fell by a thousand to CZK 6,500. The Lite version costs CZK 4,790.

Probably the biggest improvement with the new switch is the presence of an OLED display, which, after all, suggests the name itself. It should offer a more faithful color rendering, significantly better contrast and, last but not least, a larger size. The original switch only had a 6.2-inch screen.
