The design of the new generation Ford Bronco has evidently appealed to many people, including Chinese car designers.

We have written in the past about the Chinese model Haval DaGou, whose bow was undoubtedly at least partially inspired by the famous Ford Bronco images. However, the stern was more reminiscent of a Land Cruiser, and Haval managed to introduce its SUV before the official unveiling of the Bronco (although its leaked images had been circulating on the Internet for a few months).

However, the Chinese brand Wey, founded by one of the largest Chinese carmakers Great Wall Motors in 2017, was evidently inspired by the new Bronc. After all, this is obvious at the first glance at the newly discovered model with the code designation Wey P01.
The most significant common element is again the bow, which received a similarly shaped hood, raised fenders and especially round headlights with a remarkably similar light LED signature. The Wey P01 differs from the Bronze at least by a different radiator grille.

However, we can also notice the similarities when viewed from the side, when the Wey P01 tries to attract attention with large and significantly extended fenders and plastic edging. At the back, Wey refers to the Bronco not only by a reserve mounted in the middle of the door, but above all by the shape of the taillights.
Unlike the Bronco, however, the Wey P01 received longitudinal roof racks, which indicate the absence of removable roof panels. The rear-view mirrors are then installed directly on the door, while the Bronco has them mounted on the A-pillars. Wey probably won’t even offer the option of easily removing the door.

Unfortunately, the Wey brand did not offer any view of the interior, and we don’t even know much about technology. According to the Autohome website, however, the P01 should be fitted with independent front and rear suspension. However, the website does not mention the drive units and all-wheel drive system.
