Information on the range of engines of the new Kia Sorento for the Russian market was shared by the Quto.ru portal, citing a source in US. It is alleged that Kia marketers decided not to offer a crossover with a 281-horsepower (421 Nm) 2.5 turbo engine in Russia – this engine will remain only for the North American market.
It is interesting that for Russian consumers the 2.2-liter 2.2 turbodiesel will work in conjunction with the old 6-speed “automatic”, while in Europe the same engine with “heavy” fuel is aggregated with the new 8-band “robot” with two clutches .
The certification process for the new Sorento in our country has not yet been completed, so there is no information about the trim levels yet. Judging by the photos from the landfill, inside and outside the modification for Russia will not differ much from the “global” version.
