FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — The Hasanuddin University Professors and Lecturers Forum expressed its stance on the Jokowi government. There are four things conveyed.
Unhas Deputy Chancellor 1 for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, said that the event was not in the name of the university.
“Not from the university. There is no coordination with leadership. We don’t understand that. “It’s not in the name of Unhas,” he said to dawn.co.id when confirmed by telephone, Friday (2/2/2024).
Even so, he admitted that there was an agenda. It’s just that, he doesn’t know who initiated it.
“Yes. “Maybe from people at Unhas, but we don’t know,” he said.
It is known that the statement was delivered on the front page of the Unhas Rectorate Building, Jalan Perintis Independen, Km. 10 Makassar, Friday 2 February 2024.
“This is to maintain democracy. “Moreover, we are reformers,” said the Chair of the Unhas Honorary Council, Prof. Amran Razak.
The chief’s statement was called Unhas Moves for Democracy. There are four points conveyed.
1. Always maintain and defend Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution in the implementation of elections as instruments of democracy.
2. Remind President Jokowi, and all state officials, legal officers and political actors in the presidential cabinet to remain in the corridor of democracy and prioritize popular values and social justice as well as a sense of comfort in democracy.
3. Ask the KPU, Bawaslu. DKPP as the election organizer must work professionally and seriously in accordance with applicable regulations. Election organizers always uphold the principles of independence, transparency, fairness, honesty, impartiality, and are steadfast in facing intervention from any party.
