The Champions League changes house in Mexico

The renowned European competition, UEFA Champions League, will no longer be available on the ESPN and Fox Sports channels in Mexico, but there is a new platform that will broadcast it exclusively: HBO Max.

This streaming service, which is very popular in the United States, will have the rights to the famous tournament for the 2021-2022 season. However, it is a negotiation that has only been imposed in Mexico, where you will no longer be able to watch these games on pay television.

For the rest of Latin America, the platform will offer its service from June 29, although there are no clear indications whether it will also take over the competition exclusively for this part of the continent. Of course, the “war” of exclusivities between platforms is increasingly marked and this time it was football.

In Mexico there will be two packages for the platform, starting only for mobile with a price of 99 pesos per month, while the standard will cost 149 pesos per month. We will have to get used, then, to this new way of consuming the “beautiful sport”.
