Richard Tylinski, municipal councilor in charge of twinning, inaugurated the retention basin located in Chabran Park on Tuesday. This was renovated from November 2021 to February 2022 by the company Dragui-Constructions.
“When the municipality took over the management of the Park, we realized that the wood used for the covering of the bleachers was unsuitable for the work”, indicates the chosen one. The wood was rotting from the rain and humidity and the nails that held the boards together were sticking out.
4.000m3 water capacity
The Dragui-Constructions teams therefore proceeded to remove and evacuate all the damaged wooden beams, seats and stairs. Extensive trench earthwork was done as well as reinforced concrete walls and precast concrete stairs.
The operation carried out cost a total of 138,630 euros.
“A little over 120,000 euros were covered by the property damage insurance of the original builder of the structure”, said Richard Tylinski. Either a remainder payable by the municipality of around 18,000 euros.
Both a theater of greenery, this retention basin with a surface area of 3,000m² and a usable height of 1.6m can store up to 4,000m3 of water in the event of heavy rain.
