Co-owner and CEO of the Pioneer construction group of companies Andrei Grudin was found dead on June 27 in his own office in Moscow. A suicide note was found next to him, informs Interfax According to the agency, it said about a high debt burden.
The representative of Pioneer Group of Companies said that the departure of its founder from life “is not related to the activities of the company and even more so with its financial condition.”

Andrei Grudin was a native of St. Petersburg. He received an economic education at St. Petersburg State University, and a technical education at the Leningrad Shipbuilding Institute (Now – St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University). Until 2001, the entrepreneur was a shareholder of one of the largest enterprises for the supply of building materials, equipment and metal products in St. Petersburg, Petrostroykomplekt.
According to SPARK, 50% of the Pioneer Group of Companies is owned by the Grudin-controlled St. Petersburg firm New Coliseum. His family also owns Zelenogorsk resort complex “First Line”.
The total area of Pioneer Group of Companies projects in Moscow is 2.3 million square meters, in St. Petersburg – about 700 square meters. The developer built the New Coliseum, New Height, Shuvalovsky Heights residential complex on the Neva, the house on Arsenalnaya Embankment, the YE’S apartment hotel and residential complex, LIFE Primorsky residential complex, as well as the First Line suburban complex. Now the company is building the LIFE-Lesnaya LCD.
