As part of the improvisation tournament of the Haut-Rhin, THE BOXthe Mulhouse improvisation troupe THE IMPROPELLERS receive this friday june 16, PROVIDING DAWS from Wittelsheim to theAFSCO Espace Matisse.
After a lively season which saw 6 teams compete: the Athilas and the Infiltrators of Saint-Louis, the Zidefuz and the Improvibles of Colmar, the Dwarfs Provisateurs of Wittelsheim and the Impropulseurs of Mulhouse.
We meet for the last improv match of the season with friends. Laughter, good humor, surprises and emotions will be on the program!
To spend an evening with family or friends, the improvisation match is a comedy show made for you with a price of 5 euros and it’s free for children under 12 years old.
What is Cardboard?
The CARTON, is the improvisational theater tournament of the Haut-Rhin. It was created in 2012 and has since been a huge success. Each season, several leagues of the department compete in meetings spread throughout the season in the four corners of the Haut-Rhin.
In 2022-2023, the six teams of the department met: Athila de Saint-Louis, Zidéfuz de Colmar, Les Nains’Provisateurs de Wittelsheim, Impropulseurs de Mulhouse, Improbibles de Colmar and Les Infiltrés de Saint-Louis . That’s 15 games and a closing show at the end of the season!!!
What is an improvisational theater match?
Originally from Quebec, the improv match is a balanced and dynamic show between two teams of actors. Thanks to the eccentric themes of a referee, the actors must improvise sketches after 20 seconds of reflection. The jousters set off in improvisations of different durations and categories, in a titanic encounter where all shots are allowed. The show then takes the form of a friendly and bestial contest where the public awards points to each of the teams they have preferred by voting after each improvisation. The participation of the public, through their vote and their interaction with the referee, creates a unique atmosphere.
The teams for this match in Mulhouse:
LES IMPROPULSEURS, created in 2009, brings together amateur improvisers from Mulhouse and its surroundings. Over the years it has evolved and today it has about forty members. You can discover them at AFSCO Espace Matisse, but also once a month at La Loge du Temps and TILVIST.
LES NAINS PROVISATEURS in an offbeat, surprising and improvised atmosphere, the leitmotif of the troupe is to tell their best stories on stage. For 13 years now, the Dwarfs have come out of their cave to share their universe during various theater events: improvisation matches, improv wrestling, cabaret, entertainment… Their desire is simple: Create unique stories, sometimes funny, sometimes touching , in music…
