The “Captain Andreevo” crisis ruined a “Depeche Mode” concert in Turkey – 2024-03-08 20:24:45

/ world today news/ Due to the crisis on the Bulgarian-Turkish border at Lesovo and Kapitan Andreevo border crossings, the trucks with the equipment of Depeche Mode, which recently performed a concert in Sofia, cannot leave Bulgaria.

“We regret to inform those who bought tickets for today’s show in Küçük Çiflik Park in Istanbul that due to circumstances beyond the control of Depeche Mode and Purple Concerts, it will not take place. The blockade of trucks along the Bulgarian border made it impossible for the trucks with our equipment to pass through Turkey,” Depeche Mode said in an official message to their fans.

The queue of shooting ranges at “Captain Andreevo” is already over 10 kilometers long, and at the “Lesovo” checkpoint – over 6 kilometers long.

The situation is almost unstoppable. Although transporters were informed yesterday of the agreement reached at the state level, tensions continue to rise as no one is doing anything to appease the protesters.

Larger flows of heavy goods vehicles are stopped in the interior of the country at the parking lots and are not allowed to the checkpoints. For now, cars and buses continue to pass through the Kapitan Andreevo and Lesovo border crossings, despite the threat of Turkish drivers to stop the movement of cars and buses.
