the calvary of the inhabitants of Bonneval

In the commune of Bonneval in Eure-et-Loir, around forty inhabitants complain of the resurgence of flies. Impossible to have lunch in his garden or even to ventilate his house. And it has been going on for over 6 years.

During France 3’s last visit in 2014, we had already seen the presence of hundreds of insects in the homes of the hamlets of Bonneval. Since then, the inhabitants have remained exasperated because no solution has been found to fight against this scourge.

Held back until then by the cost of a study, around 25,000 euros, the town hall finally took the plunge. The Natural History Museum and the Eure-et-Loir Chamber of Agriculture were commissioned last April to take samples.

For local residents, the origin of this overabundance of insects comes from the neighboring farm, but everything remains to be proven. The surrounding marshy land could also contribute to this proliferation. The “long-awaited” response from these tests should arrive at the end of September.
