The British Foreign Office has warned Ukraine against negotiations with Russia

The negotiation process, according to the head of the department, James Cleverly, should take place on the terms of the Ukrainian side and not serve as a reason for rearming the Kremlin.

Any negotiations with the Russian Federation must take place only on Ukraine’s terms and cannot serve as a cover for the rearmament of the Russian army. Such a statement done British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley.

“Any negotiation has to be real, it has to be meaningful, it can’t just be a fig leaf for Russia’s rearmament and further recruitment of soldiers,” Cleverley said.

He added that Britain’s position remains unchanged: any peace talks should take place sooner rather than later. But they must be kept under the conditions that the Ukrainian side will announce.

James Cleverley also added that he sees no signs Moscow will negotiate in good faith.

“Indeed, I don’t see anything coming from the Russian side that would give me confidence that Vladimir Putin is entering these negotiations in good faith,” the British foreign secretary concluded.

Let us remember him a little earlier, the President of the United States Joe Biden has announced his willingness to negotiate with Putin. The negotiation process can be resumed if the head of the Kremlin looks for a way to end the full-scale war in Ukraine.

Focus also wrote that President Vladimir Zelensky pointed to two conditions for ending a full-scale war in Ukraine. The head of state says that the conflict could end with the victory of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or if Russia wants to stop fighting.
