British fintech service ANNA Money has warned customers that their cards and accounts are temporarily blocked. This happened due to the fact that the local regulator (Financial Conduct Authority; FCA) suspended the work permit for Wirecard Card Solutions Limited, an ANNA Money partner, reported on the service website.

Removing restrictions will take time. Up to what point they will act is not specified.

The fact is that fintech service ANNA Money uses Wirecard Card Solutions to issue cards and process payments. Due to the FCA decision, the money in customer accounts is temporarily frozen, but remain safe.

Earlier in June, an auditor from the German Wirecard said it had 1.9 billion euros in short supply. The company agreed with this accusation, CEO Marcus Brown was detained. Last Thursday, June 25, Wirecard announced that it had filed for bankruptcy. ANNA Money said they learned about the FCA decision on the morning of June 26. “Despite the news from Germany, we did not think that Wirecard would have problems in the UK,” the company added.

ANNA is a financial and tax management service for companies, and also conducts transactions through the application. It was created in 2018 by Boris Dyakonov and Eduard Panteleev, co-founders of the Tochka Entrepreneurship Bank, Vyacheslav Akulov, former director of product services at Alfa Bank. ANNA Money helps entrepreneurs solve banking and business issues in different channels: mail, chats and instant messengers. The built-in chat bot recognizes documents and details, as well as commands from users.
