After the Tunisian Stadium, it was Obéja’s turn to suffer the anger and the reaction increasingly formidable leader thanks to the last reinforcements in attack.
It is not given to any team to go out and hit the Olympique de Béja in its own stronghold. And yet Hope has done it in the most obvious way.
Four goals to one, such was the final score of the shock of the tenth day of the championship national between the leader “blood and gold” and his host Béjaois who did not resist him too long before collapsing.
Both the first half of this flagship match of the day was balanced and indecisive, as much as the second half was synonymous with debacle for the premises who were literally overwhelmed by Hurricane Esperanto. And suddenly, the leveling of forces turned into a clear domination imposed by the teammates of Yassine Khénissi who managed to plant three goals in the nets of the “Storks” after the score of parity (1-1) of the first period .
Spectacular reaction
After his defeat in front of the CSS in Sfax (0-2) on behalf of the eighth day, one was persuaded to expect a surge of pride on the part of Hope.
This was done first to the detriment of the Tunisian Stadium in El Menzah (2-1) last Saturday then at the expense of Olympique de Béjà (4-1).
The defending champion’s reaction coincided with the awakening of “blood and gold” goaleador Yassine Khénissi, who scored twice in a row in the last two matches.
Suddenly, nobody can talk about weaning from the Esperanto line of attack any more because before Khénissi woke up, Alaâeddine Marzouki, for his part, broke his fast thanks to two goals scored against Réjiche and ESS.
Badri’s return with a bang
The Olympique de Béja saw nothing but fire in the face of a Hope determined to wash away the affront of Sfax and jealously defend its leadership and its status of undisputed champion. And to think that in front of the Béjaois in full force after the return of their centerpiece Mourad Hédhli, Mouïne Chaâbani has spared at least four trademark holders, in this case Chaâlali, Houni, Chetti and Yaâcoubi, in addition to the fact that Moez Ben Chrifia gave way to Farouk Ben Mustapha who was absent for several weeks due to an injury. This turnover, which has become habitual at Esperance, has not prevented it from shining brightly in Béja itself. This shows the wealth of the workforce available to Mouïne Chaâbani, in addition to the fact that the competition has proven to be beneficial because each player surpasses himself to wrest his place. This is the case of the two Algerians, Abderrahmen Méziane and Abderraouf Benguith who released a very honorable match. Especially for Meziane who is starting to become the wisp of the attack.
Unfortunately for these last two (and so much the better for Esperance) the competition will become more ruthless in the days to come.
Indeed, the Tunisian-Swiss Anice Ben Khelifa recovered from his injury and participated in the match in Béja, while the returning Anice Badri made a comeback. Just for the half hour of play during which he took part in the match in the second half, the “blood and gold” leprechaun has shown that he has not lost any of his luster. He even scored the fourth goal (90 ‘) after having lit the fuse brilliantly in attack.
All this to say that Esperance will finally be able to approach the group stage of the Champions League while being armed to the teeth. Indeed, it is indeed an armada of thirteen players of good quality. This is huge and it eloquently highlights the serious lust of Hope for the African crown, in particular.
