The Brotherhood of Mary Most Holy Mother of the Good Shepherd has received the decree authorizing the execution of an image of Saint Francis of Assisi as requested by the Brotherhood.
The Elder Sister, María José Novo, has made known to the brothers this important and long-awaited news that opens the way for the Brotherhood to increase its patrimony with the image of Saint Francis of Assisi, delving into the Franciscan charism of the brotherhood.
The Bishopric of Cádiz-Ceuta has thus authorized the image projected by the image maker and sculptor Luis González Rey, who had already done other works for the Brotherhood such as the Niño Jesús Buen Pastor.
In addition, the reading of the decree has coincided with the delivery of the Brotherhood Charity Bag, on the Feast of Mother Incarnation, founder of the Order of the Franciscan Tertiary Sisters of the Flock of Mary, in whose school on Trille Street she has her headquarters of the Brotherhood of the Mother of the Good Shepherd.
The Elder Sister and the Governing Board have expressed their satisfaction with this important news and have celebrated that soon they can begin the work to incorporate San Francisco de Asís to the holders of the Brotherhood.
