Old school gaming
An old classic, but still as popular as before: “Age of Empires”. The Red Bull Online Series dedicates a Swiss tournament to the game with an international line-up.
The real-time strategy game dates from the last century, and yet e-athletes and casual gamers are still diligently competing in “Age of Empires”. With the newer edition, the “Definitive Edition”, the Game 2019 received a graphic revision that revived the genre. Even today tens of thousands of players actively play the game on Steam.

At the Red Bull Online Series, the tournament does not take place in the Red Bull Gaming World in the Verkehrshaus Luzern, but, as the name suggests, online. So every player fights for his empire in his own four walls.

The favorite TheViper will be a tough one for the finalists.

Tough competition
Unfortunately, a Swiss did not make it to the semi-finals. No wonder: the finalists are internationally renowned players. Norway’s Ørjan «TheViper» Larsen in particular has the reputation of being the world’s best AoE player. For the competition, it will be the hardest nut to crack.
