The letter from Romane had intrigued the cultural service of the town hall of Angoulême which, like every year, had placed, in the courtyard of the town hall, a big red box by way of “Santa’s letter box”. Already, a 16-year-old girl who writes to Santa Claus, it is not so common, and then the content of the letter was both poetic and deep, symbolic of the concerns of a teenage girl today. These are friends of Romane who let her know that the town hall wanted to contact her. During the Christmas holidays, she sent her contact details.
Santa Claus was generous
And the cultural assistant met Romane on Thursday afternoon, covering her with gifts: a novel awarded by the Prix de la Ville, a manga, goodies in a beautiful bag in the colors of Angoulême, a nice notebook for the ‘encourage them to continue writing, and the record of a harpist since she works this instrument at the conservatory, she would even like to make it her profession. Romane is no longer a stranger and the meetings have only just begun.
