The BBC has received 110,000 complaints about Prince Philip’s broadcasts – Entertainment

The British broadcaster, the BBC, has received 110,000 complaints about broadcasts to the late Prince Philip, the highest number of complaints ever received in the UK about television work.

The broadcaster said on Thursday that people had filed complaints in the last six days since the prince’s death on April 9.

The complaints allege excessive coverage of the prince on BBC television and radio.

As a result, a special website was created where viewers and listeners could express their complaints. This page has now disappeared from the web.

“We acknowledge that some viewers were dissatisfied with the level of coverage and the impact it had on the television and radio programs announced,” the BBC said in a statement.

“We are not making such changes without careful consideration, and these decisions reflect the BBC’s role as a national broadcaster at nationally important times,” the statement said. “We’re grateful for the response link, and we always listen to our audience’s reactions.”

The BBC has also received complaints that the broadcasts include what Prince Andrew said about his father’s death. Andrew withdrew from public office after his acquaintance with American financier Jeffrey Epstin, who had been convicted of sex crimes, gained more publicity.

The BBC explained that it reflected all that Prince Philip’s children had said about his father’s death and that his statements were appropriate to the situation.

The eight-day mourning announced after the death of Prince Philip, which will end on Saturday, Prince’s funeral, is currently continuing in Britain.
