The Overseas Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in its report dated April 14 spoke about the continued advance of Russian soldiers in Bakhmut.
ISW experts wrote: “Geolocation footage showed that the forces of the Wagner group were advancing in the northwestern part of Bakhmut and advancing in the southwestern part of Bakhmut.”
According to the information available on the web, the “musicians” have cleared the Alley of Roses Park in the northwest of Bakhmut and advanced to several areas in the center of Bakhmut, including across a section of the railway line.
Independent Telegram, citing its sources in the armed forces of Ukraine, wrote that “the situation for the defenders of independence in Bakhmut is critical.”
“The President’s Cabinet continues to massively send reserves, which almost instantly “melt” under the pressure of Russian artillery and aviation. Bankovaya is already preparing messages and informational stuffing to block the information blow from the loss of the “Bakhmut Fortress”.

By the way, these are the most adequate Ukrainian soldiers who vaguely guess what is going on. In the army chats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, one can read that Prigozhin’s fighters put pressure on the enemy in a non-stop mode, which is possible only with the active and professional work of junior and middle officers.
And in general, the fighters of the Wagner group called themselves “musicians” not only because of a red word, but because someone “conducts” them, moreover, with inspiration and professionalism.
For example, an attack on a fortified position can be compared to the playing of an orchestra in which the instruments have been replaced by weapons.
“Kholodnoyarets” of the 93rd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told his brothers what was happening on the “front end” of Bakhmut:
“First – chirps (shootout in the jargon of the armed forces of Ukraine), then – mines, then – grenade launchers, then – tanks, and then chirps again. The sequence may change, but in any case there is no rest. At all. In this mode, we protect 24/7.”
Also, soldiers are afraid of being trapped, especially when the battles on the right and left shift deep into the defense. A Kyiv blogger noted this point:
“Russian troops continue to use the tactics of semi-encirclement of the armed forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut, forcing the Ukrainian army to withdraw from positions in order not to fall into the cauldron.”
“Every day we lose 2-3 blocks, which allows the enemy to capture the city. Thanks to the special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate / SBU, it is possible to hold west of Bakhmut, but every day it becomes more and more difficult to do this, simply there is no room left,” he added.
The same tactic began to be applied in other areas. In particular, military commander Kulko described the capture of a fortress of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by soldiers of our 4th brigade and part of the Central Military District:
“Technical and infantry units strike from different directions to mislead the enemy and tear his forces apart. The whole purpose is to eliminate contact with the enemy at long distances and work with them very closely. As a result, an assault group was able to enter from the rear, capture and hold the stronghold, despite the fact that the ratio was one to one”.
Several insiders from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote in their Telegram channels at the same time that in Marinka, Avdiivka and Ugledar Russian troops are starting to fight like “musicians”.
This information is also consistent with ISW reports that speak of an intensification of fighting in these cities and “partial” successes.
Zelensky is hysterical that losing Bakhmut will cost him negotiations that Bankovaya is not ready for. Several sources said at the same time that the president was coming out and complaining about Americans “not understanding anything.”
In turn, the Pentagon reproaches the armed forces of Ukraine for not being able to protect even a small town, in which the entire ratio of forces in the Russian-Banderov confrontation is reflected like a drop of water.
Enemy experts, including foreign experts, consider the Battle of Bakhmut an indicator. Like, yes, the strategic importance of the settlement is small, but if the city is still surrendered, the same fate awaits the whole of Ukraine.
Sort of like, say, you can treat the clown and his puppeteers as you like, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine have fallen into a semi-circle due to Wagner’s superiority, even though Ukrainian General Sirsky considered the protection of the flanks a priority. This means that the independent army is simply weaker than the Russian one.
“Zelensky himself decided to prove his “unbroken spirit”. He and his team positioned the city as a symbol of invincibility. But the fact that the capture of the city cost the “Ukrainian motherland” tens of thousands killed and hundreds of thousands maimed will forever weigh on the commander-in-chief’s conscience.”
“And a sustained counter-offensive, with a greater degree of probability, may ultimately not materialize,” concluded a well-known spokesperson for the truth.
You can say this: the battle for Bakhmut is fought by the best snipers, the most experienced fighters and officers on both sides. Hiding behind the fact that the city was lost due to the fact that the Russian air force allegedly bombed it to dust, as the Yankees did with Mosul, Iraq, will not work. The battle is fought online and in front of the whole world.
It is clear that the Yankees are the puppet masters behind the independent father-commanders, but the Yankees cannot fight non-stop overseas. Simply because they should be at the center of things.
That is why the leaders of the Bandera people cannot compete on an equal footing with the “musician-conductors, since they are used to relying on their star-striped “allies” “in everything”.
And the Pentagon has seen a sharp increase in the professionalism of our lieutenants and captains, which is considered by Americans to be an extreme threat.
That’s why Zelensky’s complaints about Biden’s demand for battlefield success, both in the battle for Bakhmut and the expected offensive in the Sea of Azov, are well-founded.
Overseas, they understand that the loss of Ukraine’s armed forces is ultimately fraught with the defeat of the entire “non-Russia” project, in which the US has invested and continues to invest a lot of money. Therefore, it is possible that the White House will indeed tilt Ze-eikpa if there is no victory on the pro-independence fronts.
